This Prohibited Products Policy explains which products may not be listed or sold through ShoppingSuru and the action ShoppingSuru may take when a product violates marketplace standards or applicable law.
Vendors may list only products that they are legally permitted to sell and that meet ShoppingSuru's authenticity, quality, safety, and marketplace requirements.
Vendors must not list, advertise, or sell through ShoppingSuru any product that:
ShoppingSuru strictly prohibits counterfeit or fake products, including products falsely presented as being genuine branded goods.
This includes, without limitation:
Vendors must not list or sell products that they know, or reasonably should know, are stolen, unlawfully obtained, fraudulently acquired, or otherwise cannot lawfully be sold.
ShoppingSuru may request reasonable documentation concerning the lawful source of products where a legitimate concern arises.
Certain products may be subject to specific licensing, registration, safety, import, health, or other legal requirements.
A vendor must not list such a product unless the vendor has obtained and continues to hold the required authorization.
ShoppingSuru may request appropriate evidence where required for marketplace compliance.
ShoppingSuru prohibits products whose sale, possession, distribution, importation, advertising, or other commercial activity is prohibited by applicable Nepalese law.
The prohibition applies even where the product is not specifically listed by name in this Policy.
ShoppingSuru does not permit products that are prohibited or restricted under applicable law, including weapons, explosives, dangerous devices, or other regulated items where the vendor does not satisfy all applicable legal requirements.
Vendors must not assume that an item is permitted merely because it can be physically delivered or sold in another market.
ShoppingSuru may prohibit or restrict products that present significant chemical, toxic, hazardous, radioactive, flammable, or other dangerous-material risks.
Products subject to dangerous-goods transportation rules may be refused unless ShoppingSuru expressly approves them and all applicable legal and delivery requirements are satisfied.
ShoppingSuru does not permit products that are illegal, controlled, restricted, or otherwise prohibited under applicable Nepalese law.
Vendors must not list products by attempting to disguise or misrepresent their actual nature.
Products that require a prescription, professional authorization, regulated sale process, special permit, or other legal condition must not be listed unless the vendor is legally authorized to sell them and ShoppingSuru expressly permits the category.
ShoppingSuru may prohibit entire product categories where the operational, legal, payment, or delivery requirements cannot reasonably be supported.
ShoppingSuru may prohibit or restrict alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vaping, or similar regulated products according to applicable law and ShoppingSuru marketplace policy.
A vendor must not list such products unless ShoppingSuru expressly approves the category and the vendor satisfies all applicable legal and licensing requirements.
Vendors must not make false, misleading, or unsupported claims about health, medical, cosmetic, therapeutic, or safety benefits.
Products may be restricted where:
ShoppingSuru may prohibit products containing explicit sexual content or products that are inappropriate for the marketplace, subject to applicable law and ShoppingSuru's category rules.
Vendors should not attempt to disguise prohibited products using misleading titles, photographs, categories, or descriptions.
Vendors must not list products that infringe another person's copyright, trademark, design, patent, or other intellectual property rights.

Vendors must not use ShoppingSuru to distribute content, photographs, designs, software, documents, or other materials that they are not authorized to distribute.
A product may be prohibited or removed where its listing materially misrepresents the actual item.
Examples include:
Where ShoppingSuru permits used, refurbished, open-box, or pre-owned products, vendors must clearly disclose the product's condition.
Vendors must not describe used or refurbished products as brand-new.
ShoppingSuru may require a suitable condition field or disclosure before a listing can be published.
Vendors must not intentionally continue selling products that they know are defective, unsafe, recalled, or otherwise unsuitable for sale where applicable.
Where a serious safety or quality concern is identified, ShoppingSuru may immediately restrict the affected listing while investigating.
Vendors must not use prohibited or misleading pricing practices to create false impressions about discounts or savings.
Examples include:
Vendors must list products in the correct category and must not deliberately use an incorrect category, title, image, or product description to avoid marketplace restrictions.
ShoppingSuru may reclassify or remove a listing where necessary.
ShoppingSuru may introduce categories that require manual review before publication.

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that every product they list complies with:
A vendor must not rely on ShoppingSuru's listing approval as evidence that a product is legally approved by the government or by any regulatory authority.
ShoppingSuru may review products before or after publication.

Not every listing can be physically inspected, and listing publication does not itself constitute a government certification, guarantee of authenticity, or guarantee that no defect exists.
Customers, vendors, rights holders, or other persons may report a suspected prohibited product to ShoppingSuru.

Where possible, a report should include:
ShoppingSuru records and reviews the reported listing or product.
We assess whether the issue appears to involve a policy, authenticity, safety, legal, or quality concern.
Where appropriate, ShoppingSuru may ask the vendor for explanations, documents, source information, or other evidence.
ShoppingSuru may temporarily remove or restrict a listing while a serious concern is being investigated.
We determine the appropriate marketplace action based on the available information, applicable policy, and law.
Depending on the circumstances, ShoppingSuru may:
Counterfeit, fraudulent, stolen, or seriously unlawful products may be treated as major marketplace violations.
ShoppingSuru may act immediately where necessary to protect customers, the marketplace, or legal compliance.
A serious violation may result in vendor suspension or termination without the normal progressive-warning process.
Where a customer has purchased a product that ShoppingSuru later determines should not have been listed or sold, ShoppingSuru may arrange an appropriate return, replacement, refund, or other remedy according to the transaction circumstances and applicable law.
Where the vendor is responsible for the prohibited listing, the vendor may also be responsible for applicable marketplace costs under the Vendor Agreement.

If ShoppingSuru receives a credible complaint from a rights holder, regulator, customer, delivery provider, or other relevant party, it may temporarily restrict the affected listing while the matter is reviewed.
